What Youâll Do as a Maintenance Technician:

Inspect and identify equipment or machines in need of repair
Troubleshoot equipment issues to determine necessary repairs
Plan repairs according to work orders and preventative/predictive maintenance schedules
Perform routine maintenance on equipment, utility, and facility systems
Maintain electrical and PLC/Controls systems
Inspect facilities and grounds for needed repairs
Order supplies and materials for repairs and maintenance
Perform basic maintenance and operation of HVAC systems
Follow Lock-Out-Tag-Out and all safety procedures

What You Need to Bring to the Maintenance Technician Role:

3â5+ years of experience in a manufacturing/production facility
Special Engineer class Boiler License or willingness to obtain
Electrical/PLC/Controls knowledge and experience
Willingness to obtain Industrial Ammonia Refrigeration certificate
Ability to read and understand manuals, drawings, and P&ID documents
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
Forklift certification and experience or willingness to obtain

What you will do as a Boiler Operator:

Perform daily boiler operations, including startups, shutdowns, and routine inspections
Monitor operations, document readings, and maintain accurate reports
Pull water samples, test, and adjust chemical levels for the water softener system
Identify, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance on boilers and support equipment
Follow GMP, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
Communicate with maintenance and boiler team members to ensure smooth shift transitions

What you need to be a Boiler Operator:

2B Boilerâs License or higher required
High school diploma or GED preferred
Experience in a food-grade facility preferred (dry goods and high-speed packaging a plus)
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and use sound judgment in planning and problem-solving
Strong initiative, communication, and follow-through skills
Basic computer knowledge; proficiency in MS Word and Excel with working knowledge of PowerPoint (Access a plus)
Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions in English
Ability to perform basic math, including fractions, percentages, and weight calculations
Ability to sit, stand, bend, and lift at least 50 pounds
Ability to pass a background check and physical/drug screen
