What you will do as a Swiss CNC Machinist:

What you will do as a Swiss CNC Machinist:
- Prepare and run Swiss-style CNC lathes to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications and production schedules
- Use blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to understand part geometry, tolerance, and machining requirements
- Make necessary offsets, tooling changes, and adjustments to maintain part quality and machine efficiency
- Continuously observe machine operations to ensure parts meet quality standards and production goals
- Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to verify dimensions and tolerances of machined components
- Perform routine maintenance, clean machines, and keep the work area organized and safe
- Identify and correct machining problems such as tool wear, dimensional errors, or machine malfunctions
- Record measurements, production counts, and any deviations from specifications in accordance with company procedures
- Work closely with engineers, quality inspectors, and other operators to ensure smooth workflow and continuous improvement
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus
- 2+ years of operating and setting up Swiss CNC lathes
- Strong understanding of machine principles, tooling, feeds and speeds
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints is a plus
- Ability to perform machine setups, change tooling, make offsets and troubleshoot issues to maintain production quality and efficiency.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments (caliper, micrometers, etc.) to inspect parts and ensure they meet tight tolerances
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in both set up and inspection processes
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors
