What You'll Do as a Somali Translator/ Receptionist:
- Provide verbal interpretation between Somali and English for employees, applicants, and staff
- Translate written documents, forms, and company communications as needed
- Greet and assist visitors, applicants, and employees in a professional and welcoming manner
- Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and general inquiries
- Schedule appointments and assist with meetings, orientations, and onboarding activities
- Maintain accurate records, perform data entry, and support administrative processes
- Handle confidential employee information with discretion and professionalism
What You Need to Bring to the Somali Translator/ Receptionist Role:
- Fluency in Somali and English, both written and spoken, required
- Previous translation or interpretation experience preferred
- Administrative, receptionist, customer service, or office experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively with diverse cultural backgrounds
