Job Description

A leading company in the manufacturing and distribution industry is seeking a driven Senior Accountant to join their corporate accounting team located near Racine, WI. This is a hands-on, fully onsite, data-focused role ideal for someone who enjoys analyzing financial information, researching technical accounting topics, and supporting leadership with accurate, actionable insights. The pay is based on experience, ranging from $80,000-$130,000, including a full benefits package.
What You’ll Do:
  • Support the monthly close process for corporate accounting, ensuring accuracy and compliance within a fast-paced 4-day close cycle.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, reconcile accounts, and assist with consolidations
  • Research technical GAAP topics, determine applicability, and present recommendations to leadership.
  • Review and strengthen internal controls and support process improvements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to compile data, analyze trends, and deliver clear financial recommendations.
  • Work with large data sets (hundreds to thousands of rows) to identify insights and ensure data accuracy.
  • Use Excel extensively (pivot tables, formulas required; VBA and Macros are a plus).
  • Operate within an Oracle ERP environment (SQL experience is a plus, but can be taught).

What We’re Looking For:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate, manufacturing, or distribution setting.
  • Public accounting backgrounds with diverse client exposure are also encouraged to apply.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
  • Experience preparing or reviewing financial statements and supporting the month-end close process.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, advanced formulas).
  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
  • Familiarity with internal controls and audit support.
  • CPA or CPA eligibility is a plus.
