What You'll Do as an SMT Operator:
- Set up and operate surface mount technology (SMT) equipment to support production
- Set up and tear down feeders, handling small parts and components with precision
- Place electronic components by hand as needed during assembly
- Perform basic inspections of circuit board assemblies to ensure quality
- Complete required production and quality documentation accurately
- Use computers for basic data entry and production tracking
- Follow all production processes, safety rules, and company policies
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or managers
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail with good vision and finger dexterity
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and work instructions
- General computer skills with basic data entry capability
- Basic mathematical skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for up to 8 hours per day
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Willingness to complete required training, follow company policies, and pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- IPC-A-610 training preferred but not required
