What You'll Do as a Receptionist:
- Answer and route incoming switchboard calls professionally and efficiently
- Greet visitors, guests, retirees, and customers while managing visitor registration and badges
- Monitor building security entrances and follow safety and security procedures
- Manage the reception inbox and perform data entry and clerical support tasks
- Record cafeteria transactions, maintain cash balances, and file supporting documentation
- Update directories, phone books, lunch menus, and reception reference materials
- Assist with special projects, mailings, meeting room coordination, and company communications
What You Need to Bring to the Receptionist Role:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous customer service or administrative support experience preferred
- Ability to create a welcoming environment with a professional appearance and demeanor
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows operating systems
- Strong phone skills, including call transfers, holds, and professional greetings
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and follow established policies and procedures
