Job Description

Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading manufacturer of sunshades, louvers, and decorative grilles located in Delano, MN. We are seeking candidates for Production Worker roles on 1st shift (6am-2:30pm Monday thru Friday) and 2nd shift (2:30pm-1am Monday thru Thursday). Compensation for these temp-to-hire opportunities ranges between $18.50-$21.00 per hour, depending on experience and shift. Interested? Read below for more information!
What you will do as a Production Worker:

What you will do as a Production Worker:
- Position parts or materials for processing
- Care for machines, add coolant, and lubricate machine parts
- Remove foreign material from items on conveyor belts
- Report labor transactions and job information accurately
- Control material costs, labor, and overhead costs
- Work efficiently with colleagues to minimize energy and material waste
- Meet quality expectations while meeting schedule requirements
- Assist other production workers as needed
- Must have at least 6 months experience withing the lat 6 months operating machinery or industrial equipment
- Must have experience using a tape measure and basic power tools
- Must have written and verbal communication skills in English
- Must be able to follow written blueprint instructions or schematics
- Must have knowledge of 5S Lean practices
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
- Must be able to sit; use hands; reach with hands and arm; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must have practical problem-solving skills and be able to work with colleagues to accomplish objectives
- Must keep work area clean and organized
- Must have history of good attendance and punctuality
