Doherty Career Solutions is partnering with a local Grand Forks, ND company, as they search for a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to join the thriving team. The 2nd Shift Production Supervisor leads teams to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals. Responsible for fostering an environment that strives for Continuous Improvement. Salary will depend upon experience but range $70,000-90,000 depending upon experience.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for guiding department staff to meet production goals.
- Responsible for communicating department and staffing needs with Operations Manager.
- Responsible for staffing and performance management.
- Maintains compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining proper maintenance on equipment in assigned production area.
- Responsible for identifying and implementing Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Responsible for all training activities within the department.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in collaborative manner with customers, suppliers, co-workers, and management.
- Support and help develop their team with professional development short- and long-term goals.
- Helps company meet its Strategic, Quality and Safety objectives.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3-5 years of experience in Manufacturing Leadership.
- Intermediate computer knowledge (Windows, email, internet, etc.).
- Written and verbal communication, math, reading, and spelling skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office, ERP, and Shop Floor Manager experience -OR-An acceptable combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of quality and safety.
