What a Production Lead will do:
- Coordinate and direct team efforts to meet production goals, clearly and professionally communicating expectations, assignments, and responsibilities
- Relay company goals, safety practices, and deadlines to the team
- Maintain daily production boards to monitor performance
- Collaborate with other leads to meet customer needs
- Enforce rules, policies, and procedures
- Participate in hiring, cross-training, reviews, and employee and team performance assessments
- Ensure operators work efficiently and meet production goals
- Manage work orders and understand production schedules
- Participate in corrective actions and audits
- Ensure inspection devices are calibrated and operational
- Utilize the ERP system for proper data reporting
- Manage inventory levels for raw materials, finished goods, and supplies
- Follow safety measures, including proper handling of chemicals and wearing PPE
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic math, computer, and written/verbal communication skills
- Read and understand work instructions
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to multi-task between different processes
