We are seeking candidates for Miller Trainee roles on the 1st shift. Compensation for these opportunities ranges between $24.00-$28.50 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Interested? Company Summary This company is one of the largest U.S. suppliers of custom-milled ingredients, including grains and pulses in flake, flour, cracked, and cut formats. They supply a comprehensive line of custom blends, ranging from multi-grain blends for snack foods to functional mixes for cakes to bases for bread.
What a Miller Trainee will do:
  • Properly blend assorted grains to make the correct baking mix, cereal, or other finished good and component product
  • Monitor flaking, cracking, and cutting systems to ensure product is within specification
  • Monitor cleaning houses and receiving raw materials to ensure clean and quality products enter the facility
  • Follow established procedures to ensure the highest quality of mix, cereal, or other finished goods
  • Assist in the training of new millers, auto-pack operators, and packers
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels through proper use of the Barcoding System
  • Follow all Safety Policies with regards to Lock-Tag-Try, Fall Protection, Confined Space, and all other OSHA regulations
  • Act as an alternate for all DSM Miller, Packer, Blender, and Outside Receiving Operator positions
  • Maintain packaging machines and equipment in safe working order
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations 
What you need to be a Miller Trainee: 
  • Previous maintenance and warehouse management experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience in a leadership role
  • Ability to work a rotating shift and weekend schedule
