What You'll Do as a Mechanical Assembler:
- Perform mechanical, pneumatic, and some electrical assembly operations on packaging machinery
- Read and interpret assembly drawings while adhering to customer specifications and quality standards
- Fit, align, and adjust machine components to ensure proper machine operation
- Install and maintain mechanical systems including lube lines, gearboxes, motors, chains, sprockets, and drive lines
- Assist with machine testing, final adjustments, and checkout processes
- Support customer installation, startup, and training activities for machinery and systems
- Become forklift certified and safely operate equipment as needed
What You Need to Bring to the Mechanical Assembler Role:
- 2-year technical degree and 2-4 years of mechanical assembly experience preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to develop electrical skills
- Proven mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to read and follow assembly drawings and technical documentation
- Professional communication skills with a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Leadership potential and ability to motivate and collaborate with others
- Strong organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills
