In this role, you’ll operate CNC machinery, support process development, and ensure high quality production in a clean, safety-focused environment. What You’ll Do as a CNC Operator:
- Set up and tear down equipment using approved workcell processes
- Monitor machine programs and ensure all programs are backed up on the network
- Participate in DOEs, cap studies, and process development initiatives
- Interpret SPC trends and study data for process improvements
- Perform offsets, tool changes, and program edits alongside Engineering
- Troubleshoot issues and correct problems with challenging jobs
- Complete maintenance and tooling work orders
- Provide leadership support when supervisors are unavailable
- Collaborate with Engineering on new tooling, equipment, and technology projects
- Follow all environmental, health, and safety rules to ensure a safe work environment
What You Need to Bring to the CNC Operator Role:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Proficiency with CNC programming software (Mastercam, G code, CAD/CAM)
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
- Working knowledge of equipment in the CNC workcell
- Ability to diagnose issues and respond effectively
- Skilled in reading blueprints and interpreting GD&T
- Reliable transportation to the Watertown area
