Job Title: Production Assembler
Location: Sacred Heart, MN
Compensation: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour – Opportunities for rate increase available at 2 months, 6 months, and 1 year, based on attendance, productivity, and overall job performance.
Schedule: 1st and 2nd shift | Monday–Thursday | 5:45 AM – 4:15 PM (1st shift) and 4:15pm - 2:45am (2nd shift)
Job Type: Temp | Full-time

Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Production Assemblers for a manufacturing company in Sacred Heart, MN. In this role, you’ll help assemble high quality plastic and steel putty knives while working with a supportive production team. If you enjoy hands on work, simple/repetitive tasks, and steady weekly hours, this could be a great fit. Read below for more information!
What You’ll Do as a Production Assembler:
- Assemble plastic putty knives in multiple sizes
- Attach steel knives to handles using a universal stamping machine with two hand control
- Gather plastic parts off conveyer belt, label and box while watching for good quality parts
- Apply labels to knives and handle components
- Use the Vandorn machine to place caps on putty knife ends
- Use the Little David machine to tape boxes shut
- Operate a Universal Labeling system equipped with a safety light curtain
What You Need to Bring to the Production Assembler Role:
- Must have at least 6 months work experience within the last 2 years, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Must have strong attention to detail for accurate assembly and labeling
- Must be able to work well in a team environment
- Must have written and verbal communication skills in English, preferably bilingual in English & Spanish
- Must be able to lift and move up to 30 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations
- Must have basic understanding of safety procedures and workplace regulations
- Must have reliable transportation to the Sacred Heart area
- Must be able to pass pre employment screenings if required
