Location: Sacred Heart, MN
Compensation: $20.00–$35.00 per hour depending on experience – paid weekly
Schedule: Day shift | Monday–Thursday | 5:45am–4:15pm
Job Type: Temp-to-hire

Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Tool and Die Machinists for a manufacturing company in Sacred Heart, MN. In this role, you’ll maintain and repair dies, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality standards are met. Compensation for this position is between $20.00 to $35 per hour, plusperformance-based pay increases available at 2 months, 6 months, and 1 year based on attendance, productivity, and overall job performance. What You’ll Do as a Tool and Die Machinist:
- Read and interpret technical blueprints and design models to gain a comprehensive understanding of the required parts
- Use machine tools to manufacture tools, dies, and machine parts
- Measure finished parts to ensure they meet specifications using precise measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Assemble, disassemble, and test products to ensure functionality and quality
- Perform quality checks on completed tools and dies to ensure they are function-ready
- Repair damaged or worn-out tool and dies
- Operate computer-aided design (CAD) software to design and modify tools and dies
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
What You Need to Bring to the Tool and Die Machinist Role:
- Must have a High school diploma. Class emphasis in mathematics, blueprint reading, metalworking, and drafting can be beneficial
- Must have at least 6 months experience working with a variety of materials such as metals, plastics, composites within the last 2 years. Previous experience in tool and die work preferred.
- Must have experience with precision measurement tools.
- Must be able to use hand tools and demonstrate strong manual dexterity.
- Must have written and verbal communication skills in English and interpersonal skills.
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills to be able to cooperate with other departments.
- Must have basic understanding of safety procedures
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening and have reliable transportation
