Maintenance Project Coordinator - Direct Hire
Job Description
What you’ll do as the Maintenance Project Coordinator:
- Lead and implement engineering projects focused on safety and food safety improvements
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables; allocate resources and manage timelines
- Monitor project performance including budget, milestones, and compliance
- Conduct contractor orientations and ensure expectations are met
- Drive startup success metrics (OEE, scrap, quality, maintenance cost)
- Present progress reports and solutions to stakeholders
- Champion change management and continuous improvement processes
- Support plant maintenance initiatives including downtime analysis and scrap reduction
- Actively participate in the plant safety team (SRMP)
- Ensure food safety and quality standards are upheld at all times
- Associate’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business Management, or related technical field
- 2–3 years of experience in industrial or plant operations, maintenance, or utilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CMMS systems (SAP preferred)
- Experience with AutoCAD and MS Project
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills; electrical troubleshooting a plus
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, and piping diagrams
- Familiarity with PLCs, networking devices, and Allen-Bradley systems
