About the Opportunity

What You'll Do as a Quality Technician:
- Perform in‑process quality checks (weights, dimensions, temperature, sensory, documentation reviews)
- Inspect incoming ingredients and packaging for labeling/coding accuracy, allergen compliance, and adherence to specifications
- Conduct finished product checks including case weights, counts, packaging integrity, coding, and labeling
- Verify production line setup at start‑up and shift changes, including printer coding, packaging materials, labeling, and quality limits
- Verify sanitary conditions prior to start‑up and after maintenance-related downtime
- Communicate quality issues to Production and Quality Management; assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Participate in audits and inspections such as HACCP audits, mock recalls, label audits, thermometer calibrations, and in‑process inspections
- Assist in drafting, revising, and maintaining standard operating procedures. Serve as a liaison between Production, Distribution, Maintenance, Sanitation, and Quality. Support investigations related to customer concerns and quality deviations, including environmental swabbing and quality hold activities
- Ensure compliance with GMPs, food safety requirements, customer specifications, and internal standards to maintain SQF certification
- High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree in food science or related field is preferred
- Ability to read, interpret, and write safety rules, operating instructions, procedures, and reports
- Ability to communicate effectively with groups, customers/vendors, and employees
- Ability to apply common‑sense understanding to follow written, oral, and diagram instructions
- Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification. Valid driver’s license
- Proficiency with MS Office and basic data collection, analysis, and reporting is preferred #EggcellentJobs
