In this role, you’ll help program, run, and support production on plasma cutting machinery while assisting with materials, schedules, and continuous improvement efforts. What You’ll Do as a Machine Operator:
- Program parts to be cut on the plasma table
- Use nesting software to efficiently program machinery
- Read and interpret complex drawings
- Create part nests to reduce waste and improve material utilization
- Adjust drawings based on customer needs
- Assist with scheduling to meet production goals
- Manage remnant materials and inventory
- Run the plasma table as needed and follow all job work instructions
- Identify and recommend continuous improvement opportunities
What You Need to Bring to the Machine Operator Role:
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions
- Strong math, computer, and communication skills
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, and use hands for long periods
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to follow safety procedures and use necessary PPE
- Reliable transportation to the Fairhaven, MN area
- Previous machine operator experience preferred (per employer requirements)
