In this role, you’ll work with a growing team to produce high‑quality building components while operating welding equipment in a clean, safety‑focused environment. What You’ll Do as a Welder:
- Operate manual and semi‑automatic welding equipment (GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SMAW, etc.)
- Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
- Clamp, tack, grind, heat‑bend, or bolt parts into required positions
- Monitor weld processes to avoid overheating, distortion, and material warping
- Inspect finished welds for defects and verify measurements using templates and straightedges
- Use various welding trade tools, including gas metal arc and shielded metal arc equipment
- Lay out and properly align parts before assembly using measuring tools
What You Need to Bring to the Welder Role:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Welding certification or welding trade school background (per employer requirements)
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, and work with hand tools for the entire shift
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly (with or without accommodations)
- Strong attention to safety and proper PPE use
