Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a food manufacturing company in Sauk Rapids, MN to hire a 1st Shift Production Supervisor. In this leadership role, you’ll oversee production activities, ensure product quality, and help the team meet daily goals. This position plays a key role in maintaining safety, USDA standards, and continuous operational improvements.
What You’ll Do as a 1st Shift Production Supervisor:
- Oversee daily production to ensure schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements are met
- Coordinate startup, support team performance, and work closely with HR as needed
- Troubleshoot issues and support new product launches
- Monitor sanitation and employee performance across work areas
- Maintain equipment readiness and coordinate preventative maintenance with USDA inspectors
- Lead optimization initiatives to improve safety, quality, and efficiency
- Participate in safety committees and support improvement initiatives
- Perform other related duties as assigned
What You Need to Bring to the Role:
- 5+ years of experience in food manufacturing (meat manufacturing preferred)
- 2+ years of experience as a production supervisor
- Strong knowledge of GMPs, scheduling, materials handling, and logistics
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Working knowledge of USDA regulations and basic computer skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education preferred
