About the OpportunityDoherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Maintenance Technicians for a leading pet food production company in Little Falls, MN. In this role, you’ll help maintain and repair equipment in one of the industry’s largest and most advanced freeze-drying facilities. What You’ll Do as a Maintenance Technician:
  • Inspect and identify equipment or machines in need of repair
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues to determine necessary repairs
  • Plan repairs according to work orders and preventative/predictive maintenance schedules
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment, utility, and facility systems
  • Maintain electrical and PLC/Controls systems
  • Inspect facilities and grounds for needed repairs
  • Order supplies and materials for repairs and maintenance
  • Perform basic maintenance and operation of HVAC systems
  • Follow Lock-Out-Tag-Out and all safety procedures
What You Need to Bring to the Maintenance Technician Role:
  • 3–5+ years of experience in a manufacturing/production facility
  • Special Engineer class Boiler License or willingness to obtain
  • Electrical/PLC/Controls knowledge and experience
  • Willingness to obtain Industrial Ammonia Refrigeration certificate
  • Ability to read and understand manuals, drawings, and P&ID documents
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Forklift certification and experience or willingness to obtain
