What You'll Do as a Machine Shop Manager:
- Supervise daily machine shop operations and production employees
- Program, set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines and machining processes
- Drive productivity, quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Train team members, provide technical support, and coordinate production schedules
- Read and interpret blueprints, 3D models, engineering drawings, and work instructions
- Report and resolve machine, tooling, and process issues to minimize downtime
- Operate multiple machines and monitor production to meet delivery objectives
What You Need to Bring to the Machine Shop Manager Role:
- High school diploma required; college diploma preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experience required
- At least 3 years of CNC machine setup and operation experience
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
- Mechanical aptitude with experience using precision measuring instruments and shop tools
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and computer skills
- Programming and design experience preferred
- Rotational molding experience is a plus
- Ability to stand, walk, and work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, heat, and cold
