What You'll Do as a Machine Operator:
- Set up wire cut/strip machines per process sheet
- Exchange cutting blades, rollers, and guide tubes to match the wire that is being processed
- Clean any debris from the machine before, during, and after each run
- Count and bundle cut wires in easy-to-manage groups
- Operate machines effectively to minimize scrap
- Pick and document lot numbers of products used on assemblies
- Sort and remove defective parts or products
- Move between machines as assigned by schedule, Lead, Supervisor, or Manager
- What you need to be a Machine Operator:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years working in electro-mechanical assembly or equivalent experience with machine set up preferred
- Understanding of manufacturing travelers with some manufacturing experience
What You Need to Bring to the Machine Operator Role:
- Familiar working with an ERP system
- Ability to regularly lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
- Ability to read a ruler down to 1/8th of an inch
- Ability to read and understand English
