What You'll Do as a Machine Operator:
- Read, understand and work from blueprints and bills of materials
- Resolve issues and answers questions that may occur during the manufacturing process
- Escalate complex questions and issue to leadership personnel for resolution or guidance
- Set up and operate all machining equipment in department (i.e. manual grinders, manual lathes, tool grinders, etc.)
- Hold given tolerances consistently using measuring devices (i.e. micrometer, profilometer, caliper, dial indicator, etc.)
- Maintains high quality consistently
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge and experience with hand tools and measurement devices
- Ability to work collaboratively within a group in order to achieve a common goal
- Ability to utilize effective approaches for choosing a course of action for developing appropriate solutions
- Ability to present information, analysis, and ideas in writing in a clear and concise manner; speaks clearly so that others can hear and understand what is being said
- Ability to speak, write, and understand English
