What You'll Do as an Overnight Operator:
- Operate production equipment and monitor product flow to meet production schedules and output goals
- Load raw materials and unload finished products using material handling equipment, including forklifts when required
- Perform product changeovers, cleaning, and sanitizing procedures to ensure equipment readiness and quality compliance
- Monitor product quality, identify issues, and utilize a "line stop" mentality when safety, quality, or equipment concerns arise
- Complete daily safety assessments, follow standard operating procedures, and maintain a safe work environment
- Communicate effectively with teammates and report maintenance, quality, or safety concerns promptly
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, maintain 5S standards, and assist with waste reduction and lean manufacturing efforts
What You Need to Bring to the Overnight Operator Role:
- Manufacturing, production, or warehouse experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to access emails, training, and production systems
- Ability to read and understand work instructions, safety documents, basic product drawings, and HMI panels
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals
- Ability to lift, push, pull, bend, reach, grasp, walk, and stand for extended periods throughout the shift
- Ability to frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally pull up to 82 pounds
- Comfortable working around moving machinery, rotating equipment, sharp components, and manufacturing materials
- Ability to work in a production environment that may be warm, humid, and exposed to various fragrances and approved manufacturing substances
- Reliable transportation to Edina, Eden Prairie, Chanhassen, or Chaska. #EdinaJobs
