What You'll Do as a House Poultry Maintenance:
- Perform preventative maintenance on poultry house equipment and systems
- Maintain conveyors, collection systems, fan gearboxes, belts, chains, and related equipment
- Complete general building, grounds, mill, and facility maintenance projects
- Assist with mowing, landscaping, and manure handling duties as needed
- Collect and dispose of deceased birds and assist with fly control and trash removal
- Work closely with supervisors and production team members to minimize downtime
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
What You Need to Bring to the House Poultry Maintenance Role:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Good mechanical aptitude and maintenance experience
- Welding and cutting torch knowledge required
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to obtain a Nebraska Class A CDL license and meet DOT requirements
- Ability to work at heights and in dusty agricultural environments
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions
- Flexibility to work outside normal business hours when needed #SMNCareers
