HR Generalist - Earn up to $30/hr
Job Description
What an HR Generalist will do:
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee relations, addressing concerns and fostering a positive workplace culture
- Review and approve employee timecards accurately and on time
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires and departing employees
- Process payroll, including garnishments, deductions, and compliance with federal and state regulations
- Administer unemployment claims as needed
- Oversee employee benefits, including renewals, eligibility tracking, and COBRA administration
- Update and maintain the employee handbook and ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws
- Maintain accurate job descriptions for all positions
- Proven experience in human resources, payroll, and benefits administration
- Strong understanding of employee relations, particularly in a team-focused or manufacturing environment
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Effective communicator who can balance professionalism with approachability
- Knowledge of HRIS/payroll systems is a plus
