Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Casting Specialist to join our manufacturing team! Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading manufacturer located in Duluth, MN. What you will do as a Casting Specialist:

What you will do as a Casting Specialist:
- Prepare high-quality molds for the casting process, operate molding table stations, and ensure compliance with all established quality and safety standards
- Operate film machine to apply poly film to patterns
- Inspect film placement and ensure conformity to pattern surfaces
- Perform weekly film heater temperature testing and record data
- Prepare and manage mold wash and alcohol barrels
- Apply mold wash in accordance with instructions, ensuring full coverage
- Test and clean spray equipment regularly
- Inspect hoist beam and chains before each shift
- Transport and place flasks onto patterns
- Move flasks along conveyor and inspect components for proper function
- Operate and inspect strike-off machine daily
- Ensure sand surface flatness and remove excess sand
- Apply poly film cover and prepare mold for sealing
- Prepare for pattern changes and stage necessary materials
- Remove and replace patterns, place cores, and verify pattern details
- Use equipment to move mold components and maintain mold table cleanliness
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in foundry operations preferred
- Strong focus on precision and cleanliness
- Basic math skills
- Understanding of foundry, pouring, molding, and core room operations
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions and quality guidelines
- Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment #worknow
