What You'll Do as a Forklift Operator:
- Safely operate the equipment as stated by the company's GMPs and Safety protocols
- Assist in the setup and control of the FEFO/FIFO Inventory System to ensure uninterrupted flow of product and materials
- Model loads and paperwork handling best practices
- Train/mentor new hires as assigned by the Supervisors
- Make sure production has the correct packaging for the day
- Keep an accurate count of the finished product
- Verify product is properly labeled with date code, pallet number, state, on hold, etc.
- Submit daily counts to the office at the end of each shift
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse
- Adhere to and comply with quality production and Food Safety
- 1+ years of warehouse and forklift experience in the past 3 years
- Ability to operate a sit-down forklift for the entire shift
- Verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to stand on hard surfaces periodically with or without reasonable accommodations
- Ability to regularly bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
- Comfortable with working in a production and warehouse environment, including forklifts, equipment, and damp floors
- Ability to communicate with all levels of employees, vendors, customers, and visitors
