What You'll Do as a Facility & Grounds Maintenance Technician:
- Perform general building and grounds maintenance, including lawn mowing, snow removal, and seasonal upkeep
- Complete maintenance work orders such as patching, painting, minor construction, and general repairs
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, including HVAC systems, utility equipment, and facility systems
- Conduct routine inspections and testing, including fire extinguisher audits and fire pump testing
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment using available documentation and maintenance procedures
- Perform general plumbing repairs (sinks, drains, toilets) and building system maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the maintenance shop, equipment, and facility (including 5S activities)
- Support safety initiatives, identify unsafe conditions, and ensure compliance with company and quality standards
- High school diploma or GED
- 3–5 years of related maintenance experience, preferably in a food-grade or manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in facility, equipment, and preventative maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, procedures, and safety regulations
- Basic math skills including calculations, percentages, and measurements
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with business or manufacturing software systems
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and manual labor with or without reasonable accommodations
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
