Facilities Maintenance Technician - Direct Hire
Job Description
What you will do as a Facilities Maintenance Technician:
- Learn and apply new processes and procedures in area of responsibility, as well as train, lead and communicate effectively with all co-workers
- Responsible for evaluating and continuous improvement of processes in area of responsibility working to minimize change overtime
- Ensure that every detail and specification of each product is met
- Follow work direction effectively, completing/overseeing all record keeping and performing all tests as required
- Maintain spare parts inventory, notifying manager when running low
- Maintain appropriate sanitation records, keeping track of what chemicals are used and in what concentration
- Give Public Relations tours and act as spokesperson for the company when requested
- Operate and maintain all equipment area of assigned responsibility, ensuring its working properly and as efficiently as possible
- Perform all other duties as assigned or required by the supervisor/customer
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have strong mechanical background, including thorough knowledge in areas of maintenance, plumbing, electrical, welding, heating, and refrigeration
- Verbal and written communication skills in English
- Knowledge working in Outlook, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and use of company web-based programs
- Ability to read and interpret in English
- Ability to lift and or move up to 60 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records with math and science skills
