What You’ll Do as an Extrusion Support Specialist:
- Determine correct packing methods for best delivery according to customer specifications
- Monitor and make process changes for packing or rate adjustments
- Verify all information on manufacturing orders and ensure order completion
- Safely and efficiently load trailers
- Operate cranes and tractor trailers in a safe manner
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections on tractor trailers and cranes
- Receive billets and accurately enter information into the computer system
- Monitor presses for adequate supply of baskets and spacers
- Stage material according to alloy and temperature
- Inspect loads prior to entering aging oven
- Distribute material to proper work centers
- Check samples using Smart Scope and RF systems
What You Need to Bring to the Extrusion Support Specialist Role:
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Knowledge of calipers and basic tools
- Understanding of press operations
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally (with or without reasonable accommodations)
