What you will do as an Engine Assembler:
- Deburr, inspect, assemble and leak tests various parts while maintaining quality and safety standards
- Maintain production rate in terms of quality and quantity assigned to the job
- Understand the production processes and make suggestions on how to improve these processes
- Use various measuring tools and inspection gauges
- Inspect parts to specifications and identify any non-conformances
- Understand and follow work orders and documents
- Ensure all production process documentation is completed and accurate
- Responsible for the proper use of deburring, measuring tools and testing equipment
- Maintain a balanced workload by prioritizing and maintaining production flow to ensure parts are ready to ship
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and always follow specified safety procedures
- Communicate information clearly and effectively to co-workers and supervisory staff
- Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- Must have at least 1+ year of recent experience working in a manufacturing environment working with various materials and parts (preferably deburring and inspecting metal parts)
- Must be able to pass an MAT at 80% proficiency
- Must have written and verbal communication skills in English
- Must have experience with reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings and specifications
- Must have experience using hand tools and measuring equipment
- Must be able to work Overtime as needed
- Must have knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Statistical Process Control (SPC), traceability and material reject review (MRR) procedures #workatpolaris
