Buyer - Electronics
Job Description
Job Summary:The Electronics Buyer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing electroniccomponents, products, and equipment to support production needs. This role ensures theorganization has the right parts, at the right time, at the best possible cost—withoutcompromising on quality.
Key Responsibilities:• Develop and maintain relationships with domestic and international suppliers.• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.• Manage inventory levels and forecast needs based on production and marketdemand.• Ensure components meet technical and quality standards.• Process purchase orders, track shipments, and resolve any delivery or qualityissues.• Conduct market research to monitor trends, pricing shifts, and supply chaindisruptions.• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory standards, and import/exportlaws.• Support New Product Introductions (NPI) by sourcing new components.• Maintain a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Experience:• 2–5 years of purchasing or supply chain experience, preferably in electronics ormanufacturing.• Strong knowledge of electronic components (PCBs, semiconductors, connectors,etc.).• Experience working with ERP systems and procurement tools.• Excellent Excel skills for data tracking and analysis.• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/specs.• Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities.• Understanding of import/export regulations.• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
