In this role, you’ll help produce high-quality power distribution equipment that supports critical electrical infrastructure. What You’ll Do as a Brake Press Operator:
- Prepare and set up the press brake machine by loading tooling, dies, and materials
- Position and align sheet metal for precise bending
- Operate the press brake machine according to engineering drawings and specifications
- Inspect bent components for accuracy using calipers and gauges
- Perform routine maintenance on press brake tooling
- Record production data and machine settings in Epicor
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth production flow
What You Need to Bring to the Brake Press Operator Role:
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of machine operation experience
- 2+ years in a manufacturing environment or knowledge of metalworking and tooling
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend plant directives in English
