Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | Day shift hours

About the OpportunityDoherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with an industry-leading electronics manufacturing company in New Hope, MN to hire an Automated Equipment Technician. In this role, you’ll help keep high-tech production equipment operating at peak performance, support ongoing process improvements, and contribute to a modern, innovative facility. What You’ll Do as an Automated Equipment Technician:
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on machinery and systems
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
  • Collaborate with the Plant Manager and Manufacturing Engineer on process improvements and new method development
  • Maintain and repair production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime
  • Modify, fabricate, and develop components for production equipment
  • Support facility-related maintenance tasks as needed
What You Need to Bring to the Automated Equipment Technician Role:
  • 2-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Technologies, or a related field is preferred
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience within automation or machine maintenance
  • Experience working in a manufacturing facility
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting experience (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; self-motivated work style
  • Experience fabricating, modifying, and improving production equipment
  • Reliable transportation to New Hope, MN
  • Ability to meet any pre-employment screening requirements #metrocareers
