What You'll Do as a Assembly Technician:
- Read blueprints and assembly instructions to complete product assemblies
- Measure and position components within subassemblies using precise measurements
- Use hand tools to drill holes and perform product modifications
- Assemble walk-in sections, including components such as wood pieces, locks, cut-outs, ramps, and related parts
- Clean excess foam and foreign materials from completed sections, rails, and pallets
- Apply required information labels, including serial numbers and compliance stickers
- Inspect components for defects and report issues to a supervisor
What You Need to Bring to the Assembly Technician Role:
- Previous heavy assembly or manufacturing experience preferred
- Basic math skills, including working with fractions
- Ability to accurately use and interpret a tape measure
- Ability to read and interpret floor plans, blueprints, and assembly instructions
- Strong communication skills and ability to work productively with others
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds semi-frequently with or without reasonable accommodations #BCjobs
