Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading home improvement company in St. Joseph, MN to find candidates for Assembler roles on 1st shift - Monday – Thursday 6:00am – 4:30pm and mandatory overtime on Fridays and Saturdays as needed. Compensation for these work opportunities is $22.00 per hour. Interested? Read below! What you’ll do as an Assembler:

  • In this role, you'll build roof trusses, floor trusses, and wall panels used in residential and commercial construction projects.  

  • Use power hand tools to assemble precut wood and metal parts according to blueprints and specifications.  

  • Operating tools like hammers and staple guns to fasten components with metal plates

  • Maintaining a clean and safe work area and working collaboratively with a team to meet production goals.

  • Work in different stations of the line
What you’ll bring to the Assembler role:
  • Must have at least 6 months of production experience in the last year at one job
  • Must have heavy lifting work experience in the last year
  • Must be okay lifting up to 50lbs
  • Must be okay with repetitive work
  • Must be okay working in a dusty environment
  • Must be okay working overtime
  • Ability to work with your hands and build things
  • Ability to read (or are eager to learn to read) blueprints and a tape measure
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing, team-oriented environment
  • Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious
