What You’ll Do as an Assembler:
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, assembly drawings, and parts lists to complete complex assemblies
- Assemble mechanical systems, conveyor equipment, and custom machinery to precise specifications
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, fitment, alignment, and operational issues with minimal supervision
- Perform equipment setup, testing, alignment, and functional verification to ensure quality standards are met
- Train and mentor junior assemblers on assembly techniques, blueprint reading, safety practices, and quality expectations
- Safely rig, move, and position equipment and large assemblies throughout the facility
- Complete production and quality documentation while supporting continuous improvement initiatives
What You Need to Bring to the Assembler:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 7+ years of manufacturing, mechanical assembly, fabrication, or industrial equipment assembly experience preferred
- Ability to independently complete complex assembly work with minimal supervision
- Strong mechanical aptitude and advanced troubleshooting skills
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and precision inspection equipment
- Ability to safely rig, lift, and move equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Strong communication skills and experience training or mentoring team members #WorkAtFriesen's
