Location: Eden Prairie, MN
Compensation: $25.00–$30.00 per hour – paid weekly
Schedule: Day shift | Monday–Friday | Flexible Schedule
Job Type: Direct Hire | Full-time | Onsite
About the OpportunityDoherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading manufacturing company in Eden Prairie, MN to hire an Accounts Payable Specialist. In this role, you’ll ensure accurate and timely financial processing, support strong vendor partnerships, and contribute to an efficient accounting department. What You’ll Do as an Accounts Payable Specialist• Accurately post accounts payable transactions to the correct GL accounts and accounting periods
• Review and match invoices with material receipts, verifying price, quantity, and authorization
• Enter expense, capital expenditure, and payment request invoices with correct coding and documentation
• Review and process accrued expenses to meet month-end deadlines
• Communicate with vendors regarding invoices, payments, and discrepancies
• Print, process, and manage weekly check runs
• Maintain year-end payables setup and documentation
• Maintain capital expense reports and accounting files for audits and internal use
• Support monthly close activities in collaboration with the Controller
• Assist with reconciliations, AR, prepaid expenses, and special accounting projects
• Oversee ordering of office and mailroom supplies
What You Need to Bring to the Accounts Payable Specialist Role • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred• 2–5 years of accounting experience; manufacturing experience a plus
• Understanding of GAAP, monthly close processes, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Strong financial aptitude with excellent accuracy and attention to detail
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
• Ability to follow established procedures and maintain organized records
• Reliable transportation to the Eden Prairie, MN worksite
