What an Account Manager will do:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned customers, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
- Partner with internal teams to coordinate projects, communicate clearly, and ensure smooth collaboration across departments.
- Address customer questions and challenges promptly, identifying effective solutions that strengthen long-term relationships.
- Oversee quoting activity, ensuring proposals are accurate, timely, and aligned with company profitability goals.
- Monitor account performance and profitability, protecting target margins and identifying areas for growth.
- Manage customer requests, including purchase orders, order updates, engineering changes, returns, and corrective actions.
- Conduct on-site and virtual meetings with customers to foster ongoing engagement and collaboration.
- Prepare and execute account plans, reviewing forecasts, tracking sales activity, and supporting business growth strategies.
What you need to be an Account Manager:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 5+ years of equivalent experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Advanced motivational and negotiation skills
- Exceptional analytical skills for customer data
- Maintain a positive attitude and a desire to serve our customers exceptionally well
- Ability to work with a team or independently as needed
