Job Description

What you will do as the Machine Operator:

What you will do as the Machine Operator:
- Develop a layout and plan for the sequence of operations
- Fabricate and assemble structural metal products
- Position, align, fit, and weld together parts
- Straighten the rail and create curves per the prints and specifications
- Run the beam line and saw
- Verify conformance of workpiece to specifications
- Perform all operations with the highest regard to personal safety and the safety of others, and at a level of performance acceptable to the supervisor
- Responsible for housekeeping in the general area
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, written instructions, manuals, safety rules, etc.
- Proficiency in the use of forklifts, cranes, slings, chains, hooks, and other appropriate devices or equipment is preferred
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
- Strong attention to detail in order to maintain counts in the computer system
- Ability to operate cranes, slings, hooks, and other apparatus
