What a Welder will do:

What a Welder will do:
- Select torch, torch tip, filler rod, and flux, according to blueprints or type and thickness of metal
- Work with blueprints to measure and position metal components for welding operation
- Hold torch at the proper angle to metal and guide along a weld joint, applying filler rod to molten area to form weld
- Verify welds meet quality standards
- Repair broken or cracked metal objects, fill holes, and build up metal parts
- Weld along vertical or overhead weld lines
- Operate a range of tools including, but not limited to grinders, welders, overhead cranes, hoists, and forklifts
- Previous production welding experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Math skills including fractions, decimals, and standard measuring devices
- Ability to lift and/or move 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
- Willingness to work overtime and Saturdays if requested #WEjobhunt
