What a Welder will do:
- Operate welding equipment and tools, including hand tools, power tools
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine appropriate welding methods
- Fabricate metal components according to project requirements while adhering to safety protocols
- Utilize cranes for moving heavy materials and components during the welding process
- Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Perform basic math calculations for measurements and material requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
- Proven experience as a Welder in a construction site or manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various welding equipment safely
- Familiarity with machining processes
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Basic math skills for calculating dimensions and material needs
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Certification in welding is preferred but not mandatory
