Job Description
Seeking a new opportunity in the Fosston area? Don’t miss this role! Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading manufacturing company located in Fosston, MN. We are seeking candidates for Welder roles on the 1st shift. Hours for this shift are from 7:00am-3:00pm, Monday through Friday. Compensation for these contract opportunities is $18.50-$20.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Interested? Read below for more information!
What you will do as a Welder:

What you will do as a Welder:
- Weld and tack metal parts together using hand-welding equipment
- Position and secure work pieces using hoist and hand tools, and/or assemble in jogs or fixtures
- Examine the workpiece for defects and ensure conformance with specifications
- Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or splatter
- Assemble component parts into finished products using various hand tools
- Place various finished product decals according to manual specifications
- Fasten and wrap products and materials using hand tools
- Record product and packaging information on specified forms and records
- Examine and inspect containers and products to ensure the packaging process meets specifications
- Use powder coat painting systems to complete the finished product
- Move materials between various cells and the warehouse of the facility
- Background in metal fabrication and manufacturing
- Proficient in welding with hand-help welding equipment
- Ability to read and assemble parts according to production manuals and engineering schematics
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Proficient in the use of a variety of hand tools and handheld power tools
- Smart and exceptional organizational skills, detail-oriented, and the ability to multi-task
- Knowledge of various production applications
