Job Description
Bring your skills to this growing company! Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading metal fabrication company in Mankato, MN. We are seeking candidates for Welder & Fabricator roles on the 1st shift. Compensation for this direct hire opportunity is $30.00-$35.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Interested? What a Welder & Fabricator will do:

What a Welder & Fabricator will do:
- Read and understand blueprints, work instructions, and processes to MIG weld steel
- Sand and clean parts
- Set up fixtures, read assembly prints, and fit parts
- Proficiently complete layout, tacking, welding, grinding, and finishing
- Adapt to a changing work environment and competing demands
- Responsible for 5S and cleanliness of designated work areas on a daily basis
- Assist in Quality Control and Quality Inspection
- Participate in training for programming and operation of equipment
- Assist in Production activities as needed, including but not limited to operating fabrication machines
- Must be able to bend, twist, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Must have 5 years of experience in a manufacturing MIG welder role
- Strong focus on quality of product and attention to detail
- Basic math skills
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading/weld symbols to accurately build products to specified tolerances
- Knowledge of the use of measuring instruments and the application of such instruments
- Must be able to work both independently with little supervision and within a team-based environment to accomplish all aspects of welding and fabrication
- A strong knowledge of welding safety and OSHA requirements will be required
- Able to maintain equipment on a routine basis
- Applicants will be expected to pass both written and hands-on testing prior to employment
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
