What a Waterjet Operator will do:
- Read and understand the manufacturing Job Orders to determine directions and processing of parts to be taken
- Order material from the warehouse
- Assist in general daily maintenance of equipment
- Keep work area and paperwork neat and orderly
- Fill out required paperwork and forms
- Clock time, parts, scrap, etc. in manufacturing software
- Cross-train on equipment as required and train new operators on equipment
- Perform value-added checks and quality checks before beginning work and throughout the process to ensure accurate start and completion of Job Orders
- Accurately complete labor reporting through manufacturing software
- Set up machines/equipment as needed according to Job Order requirements or set up sheet information
- High School diploma or GED
- 6+ months of related experience and/or training; manufacturing experience is preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Able to regularly stand, reach, climb, stoop, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally may be required to lift 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
