Job Description
Looking for an exciting opportunity in the Dalton area? Look no further! Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading manufacturing company in Dalton, MN. We are seeking candidates for Spray Painter roles on the 1st shift. Compensation for this contract opportunity is $18.00-$20.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Interested? What you will do as a Spray Painter:
What you will do as a Spray Painter:
- Meet with clients and work managers to discuss design and color choices
- Remove rust and other loose materials using acid or a wire brush
- File, sand, and smooth surfaces that need to be sprayed
- Apply masking tape and coverings over areas that are not being sprayed
- Select and mix the required coating liquids
- Select and attach the correct spray nozzle to create the desired spray pattern
- Spray machines, products, and wall areas using industry techniques
- Spray designs using stencils, if required
- Clean spray cans, nozzles, and other spraying equipment after each spray job
- Inspect and assess spray coatings after the paint has dried
- High school diploma or GED
- Diploma in automotive collision repair is preferred
- Experience working as a spray painter
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- In-depth knowledge of paint mixing and spraying techniques
- Ability to see subtle color differences
- Experience with breathing masks and protective clothing
- Ability to work with acid and harsh chemicals
- Ability to stand for long periods
