What a Sorter will do:

What a Sorter will do:
- Remove metal parts from metal skeletons with care and precision
- Accurately count and inspect parts for quality and conformance
- Remove laser dross using manual tools (e.g., scraping, sanding, or grinding)
- Maintain attention to detail to meet department quality and accuracy standards
- Operate a forklift to move materials as needed
- Use tools such as hand files, wire brushes, chisels, grinders, clamps, and pallet jacks
- Follow safety policies, ISO quality guidelines, and departmental procedures
- Maintain a strong attendance record and demonstrate professional conduct
- Collaborate effectively with team members and support production goals
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Prior metal manufacturing experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of hand tool operation
- Ability to read and follow simple instructions, job work orders, and short correspondence
- Ability to count accurately and enter information into an ERP system
- Willingness to learn forklift operation and become certified
- Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, and handle materials regularly in a moderate to high-noise environment
- Ability to lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs.
