What you will do as a Machine Operator:
- Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain printing presses
- Review job specifications for proper press setup
- Perform setup tasks such as hanging plates, checking for imperfections, prepping blankets, and adjusting tension and register
- Make color corrections and press adjustments to meet quality standards
- Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, including minor repairs and periodic maintenance.
- Meet performance objectives
What you need to be a Skilled Machine Operator:
- Experience with printing presses is desired
- Strong mechanical aptitude is required for setup, machine adjustments, routine maintenance, and minor repairs
- Comprehensive knowledge of techniques, procedures, materials, and safety requirements for press operation and maintenance
- Ability to read job specifications and determine appropriate machine settings and materials.
- Reliable attendance is essential
