What you will do as a Shipping Clerk:

What you will do as a Shipping Clerk:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing lists, and other documentation
- Accurately log all received items into the inventory management system and notify appropriate departments of arrivals
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments, including labeling, documentation, and coordination with carriers
- Ensure that all outgoing shipments meet customer specifications and company quality standards
- Coordinate with internal departments, including production, purchasing, and customer service, to ensure timely and accurate shipments
- Maintain organized records of all shipping and receiving activities, including tracking numbers, carrier information, and delivery confirmations
- Perform regular inventory counts and assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment, including proper handling of hazardous materials
- Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to shipping or receiving, including damaged goods or incorrect shipments
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse role
- Basic computer skills, including experience with inventory management software
- Ability to lift and carry heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) and operate material handling equipment with or without reasonable accommodations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documentation and follow written instructions
